Bachelor Party

bachelor party special for the boysA bachelor party (also called a stag party, stag night (UK, Ireland and Canada), or bucks party (Australia)) is held for a groom-to-be shortly before he is married, to make the most of his final opportunity to engage in activities a new wife might not approve of, or merely to spend time bonding with his male friends. This kind of party may involve activities such as going to a strip club, hiring a female stripper or escort, drinking alcohol and gambling.

The task of organizing this pre-wedding party is often assigned to a male sibling of the groom-to-be. And in the absence of a male sibling, a male friend will organize it. The task often falls to the best man as well.

The tradition is thought to have originated with a bachelor dinner that was traditional in ancient Sparta.

NYC Bachelor Party

NYC Bachelor Party Do's and Dont's
By Mark

DONT's     DO's
Don't invite people that will get shit-faced and out-of-control.     Do invite guys who will be fun to party with.
Don't let everyone get too boozed up.     Do consider a three-hour open bar is enough.
Don't invite the bride's father.     Do invite other single guys that aren't related to the bride at all.
Don't bring cameras or video equipment.     Do check the pockets of all guests for them.
Don't forget to tip your bartender.     Do give them at least $75 minimum advance.
Don't pay your deposits in cash.     Do use a credit card imprint because it's a legal record and the bar/strippers can't pull any shit with you.
Don't wait until the last minute.     Do book the party and strippers three weeks in advance. Last minute parties always go to shit.
Don't invite the groom's friends who he hasn't seen in 10 years.     Invite guys that you know will show.
Don't abandon the groom, never leave your wingman.     Do pay for his blowjobs.
Don't have any inhibitions.     Do get nuts, and remember the most important "DO" of all: Whatever Happens at the Bachelor Party Stays at the Bachelor Party.
